Calvary Chapel Church Plants
Calvary Chapel Soroti
Dr. Juventine pastors Calvary Chapel Soroti. This new church plant began in May 2013 as a Bible study in the town where he grew up and his family still resides today. Pastor Juventine has planted several Calvary Chapel churches in Uganda, including CC Migido, CC Arua, CC Yumbe, CC Kubala, and this new church; CC Soroti. God's vision has been to use Dr. Juventine and Dr. Elizabeth's medical training to serve the people of each community and then plant a church soon after. As a physician and a pastor, Dr. Juventine is committed to serving the physical as well as the spiritual needs of the community. His vision for CC Soroti us to raise up local people and to equip them through discipleship and training so that they will be able to train and equip others.
Calvary Chapel Yumbe
Yumbe Town is the Islamic headquarters in the district, with 98% of the inhabitants being Muslim. It is one of the most difficult places to preach the gospel. CC Yumbe was planted in 2009 and is pastored by Christopher Agaba. CC Yumbe is a small, unassuming church that has persevered through local persecution and is shining brightly for Christ in a difficult area. Currently, there are over 30 disciples of Jesus Christ that are well equipped to reach out to the lost in Yumbe.
Calvary Chapel Kubala
In February 2013, Pastor John Dramani was sent out to Kubala to plant the first bible teaching church in this area. Although there is a strong Catholic presence, there is a lack of believers who worship God in spirit and truth. Within weeks the small rented building was full of people who desired to be taught the Word of God verse by verse. There are now over 50 people that call Calvary Chapel Kubala home.
Calvary Chapel Arua
Arua is the largest city in the West Nile region of Uganda. Pastor David Onzima was raised up at CC Midigo and he felt the call of God to preach the gospel in Arua after his Bible college studies were completed. The church was planted in 2010. CC Arua has exploded in discipleship and evangelism; reaching numerous street children, youth, and adults.
